Basic to the simple social concept of group is personal identity. If you want to have an identity, others are entitled to know who you are. Most of what people burp out like little gas bubbles about individual identity is just hyperindividualistic cant. Honest people DON'T have anything to fear. ID cards aren't significantly hackable.
